The look in your eyes

Good Monday Morning Blog Friends,

What a lovely day I had yesterday, all the housework done the children with their dad so just me and the dogs at home.  What did I do, well I started playing in my craft room.  All my own Christmas cards and tags are done and all my Christmas stuff for craft fairs was done.  My Christmas crafting box is packed away for another year so this can only mean one thing, yes I can start crafting for me again.

There was a set of stamps that were featured on Hels Create and Craft show last week and I just knew that I had to have them.  It also turns out that Hels blog challenge this week allows me to use the said stamps.

The set of stamps are Stampers Anonymous Classics #5 and I think this ladies face is amazing it is so stunningly beautiful.

I started out with my usual 8x8 Card Blank and a piece of Sand coloured card from the Neutral pack cut to 8x8.

I then took some Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink directly to my craft mat and spritzed it with some water.  I moved the piece of card stock through the ink and water a couple of times and then dried it with my heat tool.  Then I did the same thing but this time used Vintage Photo Distress Ink and dried it off.  I repeated this a couple of times with the two colours until I was happy with the coverage and the pattern created.

Next I took some Adirondack Gold from the acrylic paint dabber and put this on my craft sheet.  I spritzed it with some water and moved the card stock through it a few times and then dried it off with my heat tool. Once dry I took the Brushed Corduroy, Vintage Photo and Seedles Raspberry DI around the edge of the card.  I also blended the Seedles Raspberry around the edge of the Card Blank.

Using Archival Jet Black Ink I stamped the face directly on my piece of card and stamped it a second time on to a piece of copy paper.  I cut the face out of the copy paper, placed a little repostitional double sided tape to the back of the copy paper face and placed this over my original image so I could use it as a mask.

Once the mask was in place I took the Brushed Corduroy DI and a Clarity Crackle stamp and I stamped all over the card.  Then using the other DI already used I stamped with the following stamps still keeping the mask in place.  I used Kaisercraft Botanical, IndigoBlu Take the Time, Stampers Anonymous Visual Artistry, Creative Expressions Bubble Wrap and Chicken Wire and Tim Holtz Bird.

I then stamped the Prima Clock twice and inked using Brushed Corduroy and Seedles Preserves around the edge of the clock.  I spritzed the whole card with a little Cosmic Shimmer Vintage Raspberry mist and layered the clock face using Pinflair Glue Gel and put a Creative Expressions 5mm black pearl in the centre of the clock.  The flowers were taken from my stash along with the candi.

I am entering this card in Hels Sheridan's Weekly Challenge "Faces" at http://pinkleart.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/sunday-stamper-week-232-ive-just-seen.html

Thank you for coming by I hope you had a lovely weekend and managed to create something exciting.
