I can't begin to tell you how happy I am to be sitting here blog hopping after over two months of not being well enough to do much at all. This WOYWW is so addictive and when you can't take part for whatever reason you really do miss it.
If you have just landed on my blog and are unsure of what WOYWW is all about then jump on over to Julia's blog for all the details and the link to enable you to join us on our journey around the world looking at other crafters work spaces.
On my work space I have a little thank you box that was made for a dear friend for helping me out.
This started out as a paper mache heart box that was given to me as part of a Christmas present from the same friend that I then gave it back to once I had worked on it.
This is the finished box which I had so much fun decorating and I knew as soon as I got the heart just what I was going to do with it, mojo was in full swing!
This is another view of it in it's finished state showing the little tag with Gill's name on it. If you would like to know what I used and how I made this drop by over the next couple of days and I will have blogged a step by step post for you.
Going to keep it short and sweet today so I can look in on as many of you as possible because I have missed you all.
If you come across my blog please do leave me a comment I really enjoy reading what you have to say and if you like what you see jump on board as a follower and take the crafting journey with me.
TTFN
Ria
Looks like you are all linked up now, Ria, there aren't many for this time in a morning so it looks like Julia may have been later posting.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful box, so pretty. Your friend will love it I'm sure.
Are your "retreating"?
Hugs Lisax #17
Hi Lisa
Deletesadly I can't make the retreat this time as I am going to New Zealand in the beginning of March for 6wks so I need my money for that.
I hope there will be another one later in the year

ReplyDeleteHi Ria. So glad you're planning on joining in with the Tim Tags. Simply go to his blog and in the right hand side bar you'll find 12 tags of 2014 all the tags will be collected there.
ReplyDeleteThen read his post, check out his supply list, and then make do and mend! You don't have to use all his supplies (in fact half the fun for me is working out solutions to get a similar look when I don't have all the materials).
You don't have to use the same colours, materials, layout or even basic design if you don't want to but I always like to use the basic techniques which he is showcasing - the idea is that his tag kick starts your creativity. That said it is equally OK to follow his lead to the letter if that is what YOU want to do.
When you've finished your tag post it on your blog on a dedicated post and then click on the Mr Linky at the bottom of Tim's post then upload your best photo and Bob's your uncle you've joined in with Tim's Tags of 2014. He usually has a joining in badge on his blog and if you're lucky enough to be a winner you'll get emailed a winner's badge too.
Hope this helps and do join in - it's great fun and you will learn something new. (It doesn't matter if you miss a month either)
Hugs MMx
I do love your heart box! These crisp green accents really pop out!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling better now. I wish you a healthy 2014!

Hi Ria, just poppin' by to wish you a Happy New Year. Sorry to read you've been ill. I hear you about not participating in WOYWW, but sometimes we just don't have time to do the return visits so it doesn't seem quite fair to play & not get round to folks. Your heart project was so lovely with all the pretty pinks, what seemed to be dyed matching silky ribbons and your lovely stamped flowers. Then you personalized it with your friend's name...oh will she ever feel so special. You're not only talented, but very kind too. TFS & will try to visit again soon. Hugs and continue to feel better.
ReplyDeletewow wodnerful work Rita love it!! thanks so mcuh for popping over and every blessing of the Lord for 2014, happy WOYWW Shaz in Oz.x #26

I am another who has been missing for some time, so I knwo where you are coming from. I have been looking at others' work but not had enough time to leave comments, so I too did not feel it was fair to post and then not to visit others. It is good to be back. I love that little box of yours and I know it will be appreciated. Thank you for your visit, and you are so right that crafters are wonderful people and so supportive. It is that support that helped to get me through the troubles of 2013. Hope you are now feeling better. xx Maggie #24

Hi Ria
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you have been poorly, I was wandering where you were. But welcome back and my goodness what a come back your box is gorgeous she is a lucky lady.
Need some help making cards.... I don't think so.... but the way I do make a lot in one go is by batch making several of the same card.... I stamp the same image and then cut out all the elements and then put them together in stages, a bit like a Ford's production line...... it works for me and I don't have to think about the rest until well into December.
have a great week
janet #11
Ooh this is absolutely gorgeous, so very pretty and beautifully detailed.
