Locked away

To all my lovely blog friends,

I apologise for not being around for the last week but I am still having problems with my back, physio is not working.  Also I have been locked away in my craft room all week getting my samples made for Sheena's shows on Create and Craft next week.

All samples are now boxed up and ready for collection so I have tidied up my craft space and I am about to get all inky again.  Just got a birthday card to make and then it's some me time so who knows what I will be making.

I want to thank everyone that gave me comments regarding gelli Plates and Distress Markers, I found the comments very interesting and very helpful so thank you.  I think I will give the distress markers a miss and just use my ink pads and stains for any colouring I might do.  As for the gelli Plate I get the feeling that everyone loves them when they first get them.  They go mad making loads and loads of backing sheets which then just sit around waiting to be used and the gelli plate stays put away and not got back out due to so many backing sheets still not used.

Clarity are doing an interesting starter kit with a 6x6 gelli plate which if I do decide I need to try one I might go down that route.

I can't believe how much I missed WOYWW this week, not getting to see what you have all been up to and missing out on catching up with each of you.  I will be there next week nice and early if I can, still have not worked out how early I would need to be to get Number 1 Spot.

Thanks again for your loyalty, friendship and for caring it means so much to have each and everyone of you as a friend.

  1. Hi Ria, you poor thing, I feel so sorry for you with your back problem. Mine goes into spasm every now and then, and I think that's bad enough, i can't imagine what you are going through. Yoa always seem to stay positive though. Take care.

    1. Hi Carol
thank you for looking in and for your concern I really do appreciate it. I do stay positive because I will not let my health win this battle. My crafting gave me back my life and something I can do is small bursts and for that I am grateful.
You look after your back and enjoy your crafting

  2. Sure hope your back feels better soon. Nothing worse, as my late hubby used to have back problems and he NEVER complained about anything, but when they hit, forget it. Looking forward to seeing all the work you have been doing for Sheena..I know it will be great. Take good care.

  3. Ria, sorry you are having problems with your back. It sounds like you are very busy anyway, but that must be difficult if your back is hurting. Sending hugs long distance. ~ Laura

thanks for looking in and for your concern I do appreciate it. My crafting helps me but I have to do it in short burst so it just takes me that little bit longer.

  4. Hi Ria,
So sorry to hear your back is still causing you problems....have you tried acupuncture? I've had it and it worked for me.
Really hope things improve very soon for you.

    1. Hi Annie
thanks for looking in and for your concern I do appreciate it. I tried acupuncture a few times but it didn't agree with me and made me unwell. I take so much medication that I am hoping something will start to help soon.

  5. Hoping your back is not made worse by your buy craft schedule. Get well soon. BTW, we did exactly that with the Gelli plate, but used the prints on various bits over the last few weeks, and today it came out again for another play, so it may be a now and then toy for us, a bit like our Sizzix.
